Client Brief:
To better support our project partners, we can assist with aerial photography and illustration services, enabling them to efficiently conduct inspections, assess hard-to-reach areas, and develop design concepts. This service also provides a convenient, local solution, reducing client travel costs for remote locations.
How?
Our compact, lightweight drone allows for rapid deployment in a variety of locations, capturing both standard site photographs and detailed 3D models. By utilizing photogrammetry—combining multiple angled images—we can create these models quickly. While not having the level of precision of laser-generated drawings, these 3D models provide crucial visual context is often absent in a traditional line drawing. This can be used for visualising sites, identifying intricate details, and validating existing data.

Results
The versatility of this information has assisted our project partners in numerous practical ways, some of which are detailed below.

- Used by Architects of plan drawers to check promap data or a topography survey against. Allows addition of items that may not have been in the original survey data.
- Provides an up to date record of what a site looked like
- Used by Ecologists to generate Biodiversity Net Gain calculations allowing them to calculate areas
- Used by Planners to supplement a planning application
Rendered Facades
- Used by Conservation specialists or Architects to illustrate repairs
