MEET THE TEAM

Simon Lock
Sustainability Consultant
MEng (Hons)
Simon is a Sustainability Consultant at Woohoo and is driven by his passion to provide data driven improvements which he delivers through his extensive knowledge of measurement and data analysis to provide performance and efficiency improvements.
Simon cut his teeth in the MotorSport industry, engineering vehicles in British 125cc, World 125cc, Formula 1 and Formula E in various roles from Electronics and Control Systems to Performance Engineering and Simulation.
Since stepping away from travelling roles Simon has worked for an LED manufacturer and care communication provider developing greater skills in modern software development and project management. Simon is now applying all of his experience in efficiency and sustainability across multiple different environments to help Woohoo create more responsible and better performing spaces.

Jess Barrow
Heritage Consultant
MSc Conservation of Historic Buildings
Jess Barrow is a Heritage Consultant at Woohoo and as is driven by her passion to enrich the built environment for all.
Jess’s university thesis focused on the reuse of historic jails and specifically exploring the social and moral drivers behind regeneration. This gave her the basis to understand how restoration and reinvigoration of buildings can act as a catalyst for investment and growth whilst providing unparalleled mental and physical health benefits to local residents and visitors.
Jess has worked on redevelopment schemes for complex listed sites, pushing to find solutions for derelict properties without compromising their character. Jess has experience supporting Councils, community groups, trusts and charities to develop their understanding of their assets in order to develop projects capable of gaining grant funding and maintain their heritage value.

Richard Wooldridge
Planning Consultant
BArch (Hons) Dipl Arch RIAS RIBA AssocRTPI
Richard Wooldridge is Planning Consultant at Woohoo with a passion for conserving heritage buildings and the history of the local area.
Richard is an accomplished Architect and Associate RTPI Member and has developed a detailed understanding of the Planning System to help projects reach delivery.
Richard is currently the RIBA NW Chair and a key member of the RIBA National Planning Group which seeks to influence central Government on Planning Legislation and Policy to the benefit of the construction industry. His work in these role along with his experience working on projects has led to building strong relationships with a number of Local Planning Authorities.
Richards strengths include extensive experience of prior approvals, finding planning solutions for complex sites and identifying redevelopment opportunities.

Zoë Hooton
Heritage Consultant
BA (Hons) DipArch ADPPA, RIBA
MA Conservation of the Historic Environment
Zoe is the strategic lead at Woohoo with a passion to embed the historic built environment at the heart of regeneration schemes with sensitive reuse and repurposing of heritage assets.
Her keenness to continue learning and develop led her to achieve an MA in the Conservation of the Historic Environment and become a RIBA Conservation Architect. She is also a Professional Studies Mentor for the RIBA Part 3 course and a mentor for the RIBA students in practice scheme helping pass on heritage enthusiasm to the Architects of the future.
Zoe’s expertise lays in assisting building users find sympathetic retrofit solutions, designing practical refurbishment schemes and carefully adapting historic buildings.
